Microsoft Planner Coming To Office 365


The biggest question any productivity app aims to answer is  “How can we make people work better and more efficiently?” Through the Office 365 platform, Microsoft has over built a solid suit of productivity apps that are built around the Office suite of software applications. Until now, the missing piece of the puzzle was a solid application that can help teams collaborate better and manage tasks efficiently. . . enter Microsoft Planner

Microsoft Planner is an Office 365 based work management app that is aimed at making task management within teams easier. Competing apps that easily come to mind are Trello and Asana, and a few more in between. The compelling alternative app from Microsoft offered seamless integration of Microsoft Planner with Microsoft Office. Tasks can easily be converted to documents and can be easily integrated with OneDrive.

With Planner, everyone can see who is working on what at all times. Team members can attach files and have rich conversations around tasks . Some of the new features Microsoft plans to introduce over the next few months include the ability to assign a task to multiple users, external user access, plan templates, customizable boards and apps for iOS, Android and Windows

“Over the next several weeks,” Planner will be rolling out to all eligible Office 365 business and education customers worldwide. This includes Office 365 E1 through E5, Business Essentials, Premium and Education subscribers.
