How to Enter Sample Filler Text in Microsoft Word

To generate the random text start a new line of text with one of the following formulas.  Type the following in your Word document:

Word Random Text

=rand(8)

This would generate 8 random paragraphs of text.

=rand(?)

This gives you how ever many paragraphs you substitute for the question mark. eg: =rand(2) gives you 2 paragraphs of random text.

=lorem(8)

This would generate 8 random paragraphs of non-sense Latin.

Another option you have is to control how many lines each paragraph has.

=rand(p,l)

Where the p = ? of paragraphs and the l = how many lines per paragraph.

=rand(9,15)

This would give you 9 paragraphs with each paragraph containing 15 lines respectively.

A final note: If your Word formulas do not work it is most likely because the autocorrect options are turned off. Find the AutoCorrect button from Word options, Proofing.
